Chill Out & Laugh September 2017

Chill Out & Laugh September 2017

Wednesday 27th September 2017, TLT ran a relaxing evening for people with mental health issues and their loved ones in the Black Box, Belfast.

On top of a cracking comedy set by Edinburgh Fringe Festival Comedian Dave Chawner, everyone availed of a range of activities including; Virtual Football run by Citigolf Belfast, haircuts and beard trims by The Barber's Chair, hypnotherapy by Patrick Drury, acupunture and alternative therapies by Shauneen Simpson and Sarah Harte and reiki by Kathleen Kelly. The Irish FA were also in attendance to tell our guests about how to get into soccer coaching and the work of their work at grassroots level here in Northern Ireland. A great night was had by all, with many of our guests asking before they left, "when's the next one?".

Massive thanks to all our guests who took the time out to come and avail of the activities on offer, and to all the businesses and organisations who took part.

Special thanks to Dave Chawner who flew all the way from England to be with us and to the Black Box, Belfast who facilitated the evening and to Steven Hhenderson and Melissa Smyth from Lloyds Banking Group who came kindly came round to volunteer with us on the night!!

Hope to see you all at the next event :-)
